<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a lithographic printing plate superior in printing durability by using a preferable developer of pH2-10 in an environment and working safety, having strong image intensity, and obtaining excellent development. <P>SOLUTION: The method for making the lithographic printing plate removes the non-exposure part of an image recording layer while rubbing a lithographic printing original plate having the image recording layer on a support by a rubbing member under the existence of the developer of pH2-10 after curing the image recording layer of an exposure part by image exposure.
