<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection film for a polarizing plate, which is excellent in low moisture permeability and adhesion between layers, and has small drying load when the polarizing plate is processed, and to provide the polarizing plate with high durability, and a liquid crystal display apparatus capable of keeping display image quality at a high grade over a long period of time even in an environment either of high humidity or low humidity. <P>SOLUTION: The protection film for the polarizing plate is characterized in that several covering layers having low moisture permeability are formed on a transparent base material, the several covering layers form a mixed region at their boundary, moisture permeability at 60°C and 95% relative humidity (WVTR95) is 30-450 g/m<SP>2</SP>day and moisture permeability at 60°C and 40% relative humidity (WVTR40) is ≤30 g/m<SP>2</SP>day. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
