<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a rolling bearing device for a wheel to a knuckle by press-fitting while securing sufficient strength required for the press-fitting, even if a space between a flange and an outer ring member constituting the rolling bearing device for a wheel is insufficient. <P>SOLUTION: Between the outer ring member 6 and the flange 2 disposed at a hub shaft 3, a tool 9 having a wedge-like tip 9a of which the face opposed to the end face 6a of the outer ring member 5 is an inclined surface at an angle covering the end face 6a of the outer member 6 is inserted from a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the hub shaft. The outer ring member 6 is press-fitted and fixed in a hole 7a for fitting the knuckle 7 therein by the cooperation of a pressure load applied by the inserted tool 9 to an axial direction (the direction of an arrow F1) from a direction orthogonal to the direction of the center of an axis of the hub shaft 3, and a pressure load applied from the flange 2 side of the hub shaft 3 to the axial direction of the hub shaft 3 (the direction of an arrow F2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
