PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric conversion device that reduces the deterioration of performance caused by a repeat of heat cycle and is excellent in the reliability of operation. SOLUTION: The thermoelectric conversion device includes: a heat exchange basic component 2 on a heat absorption side and heat exchange basic component 4 on a heat radiation side which are located to be opposed through a group of thermoelectric conversion elements 3; and a frame 5 which is composed of a hollow that both upper/lower edges are opened, the base edge portion is fixed to the circumferential portion of either one heat exchange component of the heat exchange component 2 on the heat absorption side and the heat exchange component 4 on the heat radiation side, and holds a group of thermoelectric conversion elements 3 and either another heat exchange component 2 on the heat absorption side and the heat exchange component 4 on the heat radiation side in the hollow portion. Between the part of frame 5 which is the most nearer to the heat exchange component 2 held in the hollow and the part of the heat exchange component 2, a heat insulating layer 23 which has a heat conductivity lower than that of the frame 5 is located.
