PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar heating element which is flexible and has less-fluctuated performance against friction, bending, and twisting or the like. SOLUTION: In the planar heating element, a conductive polyvinyl alcohol system fiber wherein copper sulfide fine particles of an average particle size of 500 nm or less are included on the surface layer and/or the inside of the fiber is used as a resistor.
