<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a leaf spring to be easily fixed to the side of a lock body, in a glove box device in which the leaf spring for abutting on a striker so as to urge the striker to the side of disengagement from a latch is arranged on the side of the lock body, when the striker is engaged with the latch. <P>SOLUTION: One end of the leaf spring 42 is engaged with the lock body 30.
