PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive device for removing an asbestos slate plate as well as a method for removing an asbestos slate plate, capable of suppressing generation of dust when dismounting the asbestos slate plate while the work can be carried out safely and efficiently. SOLUTION: The asbestos slate plate removing device 10 is composed in such a way that, while collecting dust generated when dismounting an exterior material of a building and an asbestos slate plate 12 fixed on a roof body as a roof material with a dust sucker 13 which is capable of removing dust through a filter, a fastener 11 fixing the asbestos slate plate 12 is dismounted and the asbestos slate plate 12 is taken off from the roof body. The device includes a hood 16 which is mounted at the end of a suction hose 17 extending from the dust sucker 13 and allowing the bowl-shaped opening peripheral edge thereof with the surface of the asbestos slate plate 12 in such a way as to locate the fastener 11 substantially at a center. It also includes a suction port 21 composed of a cut-out part 20 for dismounting the fastener 11 by inserting a detaching tool 19 into the front portion of the hood 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
