PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To load and support a web roll in a short time, in a web roll mounting method for loading and supporting the web roll at both-side supporting horizontal attitudes over a pair of right and left supporting members. SOLUTION: This web roll is mounted and supported on a pallet. The pallet supporting the web roll is transferred on a conveyor and the pallet is mounted and transferred toward a prescribed position. Whether or not a right and left direction attitude of the carried-in pallet is proper is discriminated. The pallet discriminated as no prescribed attitude is corrected to the prescribed attitude. The pallet at the prescribed attitude is raised, the web roll is located between the right and left supporting members, the right and left supporting members are connected to a core shaft of the web roll, and the pallet is lowered in relation to the connected and supported web roll.
