A painting apparatus 10 comprising a paint module 20, an applicator assembly 50, and a pump 60, the paint module 20 having a container receiving section (49, figure 4A). The applicator assembly 50 is fluidly connectable to the container receiving section (49) such that the pump 60 can supply liquid contained in the container receiving section 49 to the applicator assembly 50. The apparatus 10 operates in a painting cycle where the container receiving section 49 receives a paint container (110, figure 4A) with a supply of paint such that the paint can be supplied to the applicator assembly 50, and in a cleaning cycle where the container receiving section 49 receives a liquid in the form of a cleaning fluid, such that the cleaning fluid can be supplied to the applicator assembly 50. |
