<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erroneous operation and to provide an amusement during a waiting time by generating high-quality effective sounds in accordance with a situation. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a mobile terminal device which performs information communication using at least either character information or image information, comprising a sound source from which a plurality of sounds can be generated, an input means for inputting the type and condition of a sound to be generated, and a control means for controlling the sound source based on an input from the input means and controlling processing during the information communication.
