A surge counter is provided to timely replace an arrester of a surge protector by being installed on a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) parallel to another PCB having the surge protector to count surge introduced into the surge protector. A surge counter includes a surge sensing unit(20) and an electric circuit. The surge sensing unit is composed of a continuous conductor pattern on a second PCB parallel to a first PCB to generate induced voltage due to current changes of input lines(1,2) of a surge protector(10). The electric circuit is driven by the induced voltage of the surge sensing unit. The conductor pattern includes vertical parts vertical to parallel parts which are parallel to the input lines of the surge protector. The second PCB is installed so that the conductor pattern of the parallel parts is parallel to the input lines of the surge protector. |
