<p>A safety apparatus for an intake part of a water purifier is provided to prevent safety accidents of users due to scattering of steam with a high temperature, and form a sealed space in the intake pace during spouting of steam, thereby improve sterilizing efficiency by sealing an intake space of the water purifier in which a water outlet is disposed when sterilizing a water outlet such as a cock with steam in a water purifier. In an intake part safety apparatus(1) for blocking spouting of steam in a water purifier(100) for sterilizing a water outlet(110) of an intake part(140) using steam generated from a steam generating unit embedded in the water purifier, the safety apparatus for the intake part of the water purifier comprises: a door unit movably installed at the intake part side of a water purifier body(100a) to seal the intake part; and a door driving unit(50) linked to the door unit and embedded in the water purifier body to move the door unit. The door unit is a vertical drive type door(10) vertically moved toward the intake part in the water purifier body via the drive unit. The door unit is formed of a transparent plate linked to the drive unit and movably disposed between guide members(40) oppositely disposed in the water purifier body. The drive unit includes a drive gear(54) engaged with a rack part(52) formed on the door unit, and a drive motor(56) to which the drive gear is connected, and which is embedded in the water purifier body.</p> |
