A tube holder 1 for adjustably securing a catheter 19 to a patient's skin. The holder has a plastic film base 3 with an adhesive base layer. On the tube-side of the film are separate first 9 and second 15 means to secure the tube. The first means is preferably a strip of hook-and-loop fastener that engages with a complimentary strip 7, applying pressure to the top of the tube. The second means is a patch of adhesive covered by a release paper, applying equivalent pressure to the underside of the tube. If the position of the tube may need to be adjusted then the release paper is left on the adhesive patch; however, it may be removed to secure the tube in a non-releasable fashion. The adhesives may be of the pressure sensitive, silicon or hot-melt varieties. |
