A unit that monitors the position of a boat relative to a user set point, such as its point of mooring. The unit contains a GPS monitoring circuit 1, a release mechanism 3 that is attached to a secondary anchoring device 4, a power source 2 that may be replenished using a solar panel and an audio and/or visual signal for the user. If the GPS monitoring circuit detects that the boat has moved a predetermined distance away from the user set point the release mechanism is activated and the secondary anchoring device is deployed. |
