An upper frame of an excavator having a beam type reinforcement member is provided to increase strength on a connection and to extend the service life by dispersing stress occurring on a welding part which connects a center frame and a side frame, to shorten working hours for welding an upper frame by welding a center frame and a side frame to a beam type reinforcement member passing through a center frame, and to increase the bearing capacity of a side frame. An upper frame of an excavator having a beam type reinforcement member comprises a center frame(13) composed of a bottom plate(13a) fixed with a rotating ring gear at the bottom and a pair of side plates(13b,16) fixed perpendicular to the bottom plate and mounted with an actuating device such as a boom, a left side frame(15) welded to the side plate of the center frame and mounted with a cabin cap, a right side frame(14) welded to the other side plate of the center frame and mounted with a fuel tank and a hydraulic tank, and beam type reinforcement members(21,22) welded to the left side frame and the right side frame via through holes(19,20) formed on the side plates of the center frame horizontally and welded to the contact part with the side plates of the center frame. |
