The invention relates to a starter device for an internal combustion engine configured for start/stop operation, with a starter motor, which turns an output shaft that interacts with a starter pinion mounted in a manner that enables it to be axially displaced. At the beginning of every starting process, the starter pinion advances in order to engage in a crown gear of the internal combustion engine. The invention is characterized in that the starter pinion is displaced by a linear motor mounted coaxial to the output shaft. The linear motor is provided in the form of an internal-rotor motor that has a hollow cylindrical rotor connected to the starter pinion and has a stator that at least partially surrounds the rotor in an axial and/or radial direction. The rotor comprises concentric permanent-magnet rings, is made, at least in part, of a soft magnetic material, concentrically surrounds the rotor at least in areas while forming an air gap, and has at least one tooth facing the rotor.
|
