Device for protecting an oscillating power circuit

The device (1) has a disconnection unit (2) interposed between an alternating current supply network (R) e.g. vehicle network, and a power circuit (4). The unit is formed of solid-state switch e.g. thyristor. A measuring and analyzing unit (8) measures and analyzes current supplied to the power circuit. The unit detects appearance of direct current and is connected to a triggering unit (9) i.e. electronic control unit, ensuring opening of the disconnection unit when the alternating current disappears. The triggering unit triggers the switch.
