An array substrate for a COA(Color filter On Array)-type IPS LCD device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent pixel non-uniformity generated by a difference among dielectric constants of color filters, thereby manufacturing an LCD panel capable of acquiring constant image quality. An array substrate for a COA-type IPS LCD device includes a substrate(100), plural gate lines(102), plural data lines(114), a TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(T), a RGB(Red, Green, Blue) color filter(124b), a plate-shaped common electrode(128), and a bar-shaped pixel electrode(134a,134b). The plural gate lines are extended in a direction on the substrate. The plural data lines cross the plural gate lines to define plural pixel regions. The TFT is configured in each crossing point of the plural gate lines and the plural data lines. The RGB color filter is sequentially configured in the plural pixel regions. The plate-shaped common electrode is configured in each upper part of the pixel regions. The bar-shaped pixel electrode is configured with an insulating film therebetween in the upper part of the common electrode. |
