摘要 An electric power steering device generating a steering assist power is provided to improve steering stability by computing the steering assist power using the difference between a real movement and a target movement of the vehicle, and adding or subtracting the computed steering assisting power to or from the movement of the vehicle. An electric power steering device generating a steering assisting power by calculating a target movement of a vehicle comprises a torque sensor(110), a target current calculating unit(140), a current control unit(150), a motor(170), a lateral acceleration sensor(240), and an active steering power controlling unit(200). The lateral acceleration sensor senses the lateral acceleration of the vehicle. The active steering power control unit detects the lateral acceleration using the lateral acceleration sensor, measures a real movement of the vehicle, calculates the target movement by receiving a driving speed of the vehicle and a steering angle from a speed sensor and a steering angle sensor, outputs an offset value of a low frequency by computing the difference between the real movement and the target movement, calculates the steering assisting power by using the difference between the real movement and the target movement, and adds or subtracts the steering assist power to or from the movement of the vehicle.
