An electrical accessory comprises a bezel (4), a faceplate (2) and a backing plate (6). The faceplate (also known as embellisher plate) is arranged to be trapped between the bezel and the backing plate. Ideally backing plate is secured by deforming or swaging projections 12 in slots 20. The backing plate is arranged to be mounted on a mounting plate (10), and the mounting plate is provided to its rear for further connection. The bezel, faceplate and backing plate have apertures to allow access to an electrical fitment (8). Particularly suited for wall mounted electrical assemblies and avoids the use of screws for securing the faceplate hence brittle materials may be used. |
