A painting apparatus 10 comprising a paint module 20, an applicator assembly 50, and a dip-tube assembly (80, figure 7) containing a pump 60. The paint module 20 has a container receiving section (22, figure 1A) which is closeable by a releasably attachable lid 23, the applicator assembly 50 being fluidly connectable to liquid in the container receiving section (22) via the dip-tube assembly (80). The lid 23 includes an aperture to allow the dip-tube assembly (70) to pass therethrough and submerge the pump (60) in the liquid. There may be a lid detection feature so as to only allow the pump to operate when the lid id closed and there is an independent claim to this feature. There is also an independent claim to a paint composition. |
