METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING MULTI MESH OPERATION MODES IN SINGLE WIFI INTERFACE

A method and a system for supporting a multi-mesh operation mode in a single wireless-fidelity interface are provided to improve communication efficiency by performing an access point function as well as a mesh point function using the single WiFi interface. A system for supporting a multi-mesh operation mode in a single wireless-fidelity interface includes an operation mode determining unit(410) and a packet processing unit(420). The operation mode determining unit determines an interfacing operation mode, which is related to a received packet. The packet processing unit processes the packet by using a single WiFi(Wireless-Fidelity) interface according to the interfacing operation mode. The packet processing unit delivers a received packet to a BSS object corresponding to a BSS(Basic Service Set), such that the interfacing operation mode is processed as an access point operation mode. The packet processing unit delivers the received packet to an MBSS(Mess Basic Service Set) object corresponding to a MBSS, such that a mesh point function is performed.
