A crossing gate for a vehicle capable of restoring automatically in a power failure, and a control method of the crossing gate for a vehicle are provided to open a crossing gate bar of a crossing gate by supplying power to an emergency power supply unit in a power failure. A crossing gate for a vehicle capable of restoring automatically in a power failure comprises a crossing gate bar(30), a crossing gate bar body(20) provided with a control unit to control a driving motor, a power supply unit to supply electric power to a driving motor, and an emergency power supply unit connected to the power supply unit to charge electricity supplied from the power supply unit and to supply electricity in an emergency, and a moving device(40) provided with a driving motor to operate the crossing gate bar and converting power to the emergency power supply unit if the supply of electric power is cut off and to supply electricity to the driving motor. A control method of a crossing gate for a vehicle comprises the steps of: checking the power supply of a power supply unit through a control unit provided to a crossing gate body; if the supply of electric power is cut off in a power failure, operating an emergency power supply unit and opening a crossing gate; and if electric power is supplied, making a power supply unit supply electric power to the emergency power supply unit and charging electricity.
