摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of eliminating the need for a cable between communication apparatuses and preventing leakage of information and signal deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: A laser communication apparatus as a transmission apparatus provided with: a laser light source 13 for outputting a laser beam to a laser transmission medium; and a drive circuit 12 for driving the laser light source 13 for the purpose of outputting an information signal to be transmitted and another laser communication apparatus acting like a receiver and provided with a photodetector 21 for detecting the laser transmitted via the laser transmission medium carries out information communication with each other via the laser transmission medium by using the laser. Thus, a cable for interconnecting the communication apparatuses is not required. Further, since the information signal is delivered in the laser transmission medium, information is hardly leaked unlike wireless communication and no radio wave interference is caused. Moreover, when the wavelength of the laser is selected within a range of 700nm to 1200nm, since the laser is easily delivered inside a living body, laser communication by way of the living body can be attained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
