<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liniment for cold, containing a volatile component for the cold and a nonionic surfactant having 7-20 HLB value. <P>SOLUTION: This preparation rapidly exhibits the effects by being absorbed from the skin to suppress inflammatory and allowing the components to be vaporized by body temperature so as to be directly fed to the tonsil and the bronchial tube to suppress the inflammatory. The volatile component for the cold is sustainably vaporized by the nonionic surfactant having 7-20 HLB value formulated in the preparation to sustain the effects for a long time.
