<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag apparatus for the seat next to a driver, of which the workability is improved remarkably to make it possible to attach or detach an airbag module easily without relying on visual recognition upon replacing the airbag module without removing an instrument panel. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag apparatus comprises the airbag module 1 in which a bag body 2 is housed, and flexible wall surfaces 15, which enclose the airbag module 1 and can be hung on the lower surface of the instrument panel 7. The airbag module 1 has a retainer 3, on which hooks 10, having a plurality of nails 11 projecting outward and separate from each other, are formed. On each wall surface 15, engaging parts 9, with which the nails 11 of the hook 10 can be engaged/disengaged, are formed, and a locking strip 8, which can be deformed outward by the nails 11, is also formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
