It is possible to provide an ultrasonic probe capable of eliminating difficulty of machining, increasing the ultrasonic wave directivity width, and obtaining a diagnosis image of high resolution. The ultrasonic probe (10) includes: a plurality of piezoelectric elements (1) arranged in an order; acoustic matching layers (2) corresponding to the respective piezoelectric elements (1) and arranged in the front surface in the thickness direction, i.e., the examinee side (above in the figure); a rear surface load material (3) arranged, if necessary, at the rear surface in the thickness direction (below in the figure), i.e., the opposite side of the acoustic matching layer (2) with respect to the piezoelectric elements (1); and an acoustic lens (4) arranged, if necessary, on the acoustic matching layer (2). The acoustic matching layer (2) is formed by a rubber elastic material and arranged as a unitary flat member at one side of the plurality of piezoelectric elements (1). |
