METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SOUNDING PACKET EXCHANGE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

A method for sounding packet exchanging in a wireless communication system and a system therefor are provided to transmit a TRQ(Training Request) to a responder(receiving station) through a wireless channel from an initiator(transmission station), and to specify the number of LTFs(Long Training Fields), thereby performing wireless communication. A transmission station(STA1) omnidirectionally transmits a forward TRQ to a receiving station(STA2). The receiving station omnidirectionally transmits a forward sounding packet by using a preamble format(502). The receiving station omnidirectionally transmits a reverse TRQ which specifies the number of LTFs(503). The transmission station omnidirectionally transmits a reverse sounding packet by using the preamble packet(504). High-ratio transmission sequence is performed together with beamforming realized in the transmission station and the receiving station(505).
