<p>Sustained release pharmaceutical tablets are obtd. by mixing a granular tablet material containing active substance with one or more release delay solid, pref. powdered, substances selected from: a paraffin, a C12-22 alcohol, a fatty acid or natural or synthetic wax or fat, tableting the mixt. and heating the tablets to melt the release delay substance and subsequently cooling. The preparation and tableting is effected in conventional manner and the melted release delay substance fills out all hollow spaces in the tablet.</p> |
