A washing machine is provided to prevent generation of germ and mold in a tub by embedding a heating wire in the tub to heat the inner wall of the tub, thereby sterilizing and drying the tub rapidly. A washing machine comprises a body(10), a tub(11), a drum(12), a drive motor(13), a control unit, and an electric heater(20). The electric heater is embedded in the tub and heats the inner wall of the tub. The tub is injection-molded and the electric heater is insert-injected when injection-molding the tub. The control unit controls operation of the electric heater and the drive motor. |
