The roof has a front roof guide (15) and a rear roof guide (16), which are firmly connected with a front roof element (5) and a rear roof element (6), respectively. The front roof guide and the rear roof guide are pivotally supported on two pivot bearings of an assembly, respectively. A coupler guide is operative between the front roof element and the rear roof element. A spring element (23) supports itself at the front roof guide and under interconnection of a guide gear mechanism of a roof movement device at the rear roof guide.
