<p>A preload measuring device for a double row rolling bearing unit comprises an outer race member having double rows of outer ring raceway tracks on the inner peripheral surface, an inner race member having double rows of inner ring raceway tracks on the outer peripheral surface, a plurality of rolling elements rollingly installed in each row between the outer ring race and the inner race ring while contact angles in the directions reverse to each other are provided thereto between both rows, an axial displacement measuring means for measuring the relative displacement of the outer race member to the inner race member in the axial direction, an inclination angle measuring means for measuring the inclination angle of the center axis of the outer race member to the center axis of the inner race member, and a preload calculation means for calculating the preload provided to the rolling elements according to the inclination angle and the relative displacement in the axial direction.</p> |
