A washing machine is provided to prevent damage to laundry in a rotary tub by keeping a rinse or detergent box closed with the cover while rotating the rotary tub. A washing machine comprises a rinse or detergent box(202), a rinse or detergent box cover(203), a supporting rib(205), and a supporting member. The rinse or detergent box is installed at one part of a rotary tub. The rinse or detergent box cover opens and closes the rinse or detergent box. The supporting rib is installed at one part of the rinse or detergent box. The supporting member is formed at the rinse or detergent box cover and supports the supporting rib when the rinse or detergent box cover closes the rinse or detergent box. |
