A central control type computer which does not need a main body is provided to enable a user to use a computer usage function in an IPTV service since all the general computer functions can be implemented even in a TV by using only a set top box, an internet and computer peripherals. A central control type computer includes a central server part and a user part. The central server part includes hard disks(2), PC function units(3), a booting controller, a screen signal outputting unit(5), a control signal implementing unit, and a central server side file transceiver. The user part includes a monitor(17), a speaker, a mouse(16), a set top box(4), a CD ROM(14), a printer, and a scanner(19). The set top box includes a screen signal implementing unit, a control signal outputting unit(7), a user side file transceiver, and a booting signal outputting unit. A user pushes buttons on the booting signal outputting unit, accesses the booting controller in the central server part by an internet phone call type, and passes an authentication procedure by using a user ID. Then, the booting controller links the hard disk, in correspondence with the user ID, with the PC function device and generates an initial screen and voice signals. The initial screen and the voice signals are sent to the screen signal implementing unit and then the monitor and the speaker. The user inputs the ID and a password in the initial screen and operates the keyboard and the mouse. Operating signals are transmitted to the hard disk and the PC function device via the control signal outputting unit and the control signal implementing unit so that the user can operate a computer in the server. The CD ROM, the scanner and the printer can be linked to the hard disk and the PC function unit via the set top box and the central server side file transceiver by using the user side file transceiver.
