A hinge apparatus is provided to mitigate operating power and an operating speed appropriately by increasing the contact surface between a damping member and a damping fluid, thereby smoothly operating the hinge apparatus. A hinge housing(310) has a damping space(312a) therein. A damping fluid(F) fills the damping space of the hinge housing. A hinge shaft(320) is rotatively joined within the hinge housing while the hinge shaft passes through the damping space. A shaft-driving module is installed on the hinge housing to provide rotation power to the hinge shaft. A rotary damping member(360) is rotatively joined to the hinge shaft while the rotary damping member is disposed within the damping space. The rotary damping member has at least one of a penetration hole and a protrusion to increase the contact surface with the damping fluid.
