A thermoelectric module using an Al(Aluminum) metal plate or alloy plate coated with an oxidized Al film is provided to improve mechanical stability by forming the oxidized Al film on a upper surface of the Al metal or Al alloy plate, and to make thermal absorption and radiation easy. A thermoelectric module using an Al metal plate or alloy plate coated with an oxidized Al film includes upper and lower insulating substrates(11,12), n-type and p-type thermoelectric elements(13) arranged between the insulating substrates, and a metal electrode(14) for electrically connecting the n-type and the p-type thermoelectric elements. The upper and lower insulating substrates are made of the Al metal plate or alloy plate and the oxidized Al film is formed on a single surface or both surfaces of the Al metal plate or alloy plate.
