A sunshade apparatus for a vehicle (10) includes a guide rail (18) adapted to be mounted along a side edge of a light inletting portion formed at a vehicle roof (11) and extending in a front-rear direction of the vehicle roof (11), a plurality of sunshade panels (15, 16, 17) slidably supported at the guide rail and the arranged in a front-rear direction of the vehicle roof (11) when the light inletting portion is closed, a dividing portion rotatably supported at a rear end portion of the guide rail (18) and including a first guide portion (44a, 121a) and a second guide portion (42a, 121b), and a guide mechanism (45, 145) provided at the guide rail (18) for guiding a front end portion of each of the plurality of sunshade panels (15, 16, 17) in an upward direction or in a downward direction of the vehicle roof (11).
