A sprinkler device and a control method for the same are provided to improve fire extinguishing efficiency and to minimize damage by fire extinguishing by extinguishing a fire through a fire extinguishing agent supplying unit in an early stage and through directly supplied water in the next stage. A sprinkler device includes: a direct current compress pump(3) and a first electronic valve(2) connected in parallel, and moving directly supplied water to a sprinkler head(13) through the direct current compress pump only when a water pressure of an inlet pipe(1) is less than a regular pressure; a second electronic valve(8) for supplying and blocking the directly supplied water to the sprinkler head; a fire extinguishing agent supply unit(20) for supplying a fire extinguishing agent to the sprinkler head in the state that the second electronic valve is closed; and a fire controller(10) recognizing values of a fire sensor(11) and a pressure meter(5-1), and controlling drive of the fire extinguishing agent supply unit, electronic valves, and direct current compress pump.
