PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assay of the faculty to control the plasticity of nerve cells. SOLUTION: The assay relates to an examination of the faculty to control the plasticity of nerve cells dependent on the transcriptional regulatory factor bearing any of the following amino acid sequence and characteristically comprises (1) the first step of bringing the test article into contact with the mammalian cells expressing the transcriptional regulatory factor; (2) the second step of measuring the expression of the marker protein gene present on the way of the nerve cell plasticization, dependent on the transcriptional regulatory factor or the indication having the correlation with the expression in the mammalian cells after the first step and (3) the third step of evaluating the faculty of the test article on the basis of the expression or the indication having the correlation with the expression measured in the second step. <The group of amino acid sequences> The amino acid sequence of the protein that has an amino acid sequence showing >=90% sequence homology to a specific amino acid sequence and has the transcription faculty and the like. |
