A receptacle is provided to prevent the occurrence of an accident by not supplying power to a plug of an electric or electronic product if an electric wire of a power source and that of a branch side are changed to be connected to a main terminal and a branch terminal. A front panel(110) includes a connection hole(113) into which a terminal(53) of a plug(50) is inserted. A case(210) is combined with a lower surface of the front panel and includes a circuit board. A reset button(221) is elastically supported so that one side thereof is exposed from an outer side of the front panel and the other side thereof is positioned within the case. Connection terminals(237) are installed at the case, to which the terminal of the plug is connected after passing through the connection hole. A main terminal is installed at the circuit board and has one side connected with an electric wire(151) of a power source and the other end connected with the connection terminal. A branch terminal is installed at the circuit board and has one side connected with a branch electric wire(155) connected with one side of the main terminal and the other side connected or not connected with the main terminal.
