A Kimchi refrigerator and its control method are provided to obtain tasty and nutritious kimchi by optimizing the temperature and time for aging Kimchi. A Kimchi refrigerator(1) comprises: a main cabinet(3) having a storage room(7); a temperature regulating part(30) which regulates the temperature of the storage room and operates aging mode and storing mode; and a control part which controls the operation of the temperature regulating part to keep the storage room in the aging mode at 5-15°C for 24-144hr. A method for controlling the Kimchi refrigerator comprises the steps of: storing unaged Kimchi in the storage room; and operating the temperature regulating part to keep the storage room at 15-5°C for 24-144hr, followed by aging the Kimchi. The step comprises the steps of: firstly aging the unaged kimchi in the storage room kept at 15°C for 24hr, and then secondly aging it in the storage room kept at 5°C for 120hr.
