A flying cutting apparatus for welded pipes is provided to distribute load of a cutting unit on a plane linear guide evenly by sliding on a plane linear guide carried by a bench at different height from a floor with a carriage. A flying cutting apparatus for welded pipes comprises at least one support structure(15), a slide(5), pre-cutting units(9,12,13), and a cutting unit(11). The support structure is supported by a carriage(3) carrying a hydraulic cylinder. The slide is driven by the hydraulic cylinder. The slide clamps the pipe to be cut by using jaws of a vice. The precutting units marks scales on the surface of the pipe clamped by the vice. The cutting unit cuts the pipe clamped by the vice. The carriage slides on a plane linear guide(2) carried by a bench(4) by different height about a floor. |
