Adhesive safety strap and method for its production

The method involves separating length from an adhesive packaging band, where the band comprises a carrier layer (2) e.g. paper and plastic, that is processed with a laser and an adhesive layer (3). An adhesive safety strap (1) affixed to a package is formed by using the laser and a slot (5.1) that cuts via the carrier layer. Geometry of the slot is defined by a profile, and width of the slot is defined by a removed material. Packages made from paper or cardboard is sealed by the band, where the carrier layer has a rubber component. An independent claim is also included for an adhesive safety strap comprising length of an adhesive packaging band.
