The device (1) has clamping elements (12, 14) for detachably clamping a pipe-like conduit i.e. hose line, to be connected. An actuating element (10) has closure units (22, 24) e.g. cam, forming a bayonet joint together with a corresponding closure unit (28) of a connector (2). The bayonet joint is closable by rotation of the actuating element, and the clamping element is brought into a clamping system at the conduit to be connected. The actuating element has a capsule-shaped section (16) for connection with the connector, and the closure units (22, 24) are arranged in a region of the section.
