A method for controlling a temperature of a refrigerator is provided to prevent power consumption and to lower a set temperature of a refrigerator compartment than a conventional refrigerator by locating the refrigerator compartment at a lower part of the refrigerator. A method for controlling a temperature of a refrigerator comprises the steps of: judging whether a temperature of a freezer is over a set temperature or not and controlling a compressor or a cooling fan if the sensed temperature of the freezer, an operation ratio of the compressor, and the number of door opening are over set values(S104, S106, S108, S110, S111, S113).
