A method for multi-selection of data in a mobile terminal is provided to make it possible to select one or more pieces of data multiply from a data list, thereby facilitating selection of one or more pieces of data. A data list is displayed(S201). A cursor is shown on data of the data list(S203). When a multi-selection mode signal is received, a selection sign is marked on the data showing the cursor. The selection sign is marked on corresponding data of the data list according to movement of the cursor. When the multi-selection mode is received, entry into the multi-selection mode is performed. For entry into the multi-selection mode, firstly, it is determined whether a selection key for the data showing the cursor is inputted(S209). If the selection key is inputted, it is determined whether an input time of the selection key is larger than a critical value(S211). If the input time of the selection key is larger than the critical value, the entry into the multi-selection mode is performed(S213). The cursor is moved according to input of a movable key in the multi-selection mode, and then the selection sign is marked on the data showing the cursor(S215).
