The light has a housing, which has a front opening. A translucent covering (3) closes the front opening of the housing, which is connected with housing by laser welding. The translucent covering has a curved, front surface (32) and a rear surface, which has welding surface section (31) along the peripheral section. The end sections of curved front surface of corresponding welding surface section are arranged, in inclined manner in different directions, in a section of the translucent covering. The welding surface section stands in inclined manner with respect to end section of front surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for the manufacturing of a vehicle light. |
