In power-assisted steering mechanism for a motor vehicle including a pin 48 connecting a rocker shaft lever 43 to a connecting rod 41 coupled to an hydraulic piston 42, a circlip 46 located in a groove in the connecting pin bore provided in the connecting rod 41 acts as a stop for the pin 48 when the pin is inserted through an access opening 49 in the housing 1, and an undercut conical spigot 50 on the pin 48 facilitates withdrawal of the pin through the opening 49. A second circlip 47 retains the pin 48 in the bore. A detachable cover plate 2 seals the access opening 49. |
