Described is a method for the preparation of nitroxyl radicals based on 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine and derivatives thereof by catalytic oxidation of the particular secondary amine with hydrogen peroxide at the temperature of 50 to 90 °C. Unhindered secondary amines are used as oxidation catalysts, hydrogen peroxide stabilizers are favourable used. |
