A headbox of a paper or board machine for conducting pulp to a former, comprising a turbulence generator and a lip cone, wherein pulp flow is guided from the turbulence generator into the lip cone, wherein the turbulence generator comprises a plurality of pipes each having a central axis extending in the machine direction, wherein each of the pipes of the turbulence generator comprises an upstream pipe and a downstream pipe and a single fluidisation element located between the upstream pipe and the downstream pipe and formed by a stepped structure having an expansion step, and wherein the downstream pipe comprises a first pipe part having a circular cross-section at its inlet end, characterized by a control equipment for controlling the height of the expansion step of the fluidisation element, wherein the control equipment includes an actuator for moving the wall of the first pipe part at its inlet end towards the central axis of the pipe of the turbulence generator in order to control the height of the expansion step of the fluidisation element.
